Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join the Summer Reading Club?
Summer Reading Club Registration starts on June 28th, but you can sign up anytime after that as well. Just visit us here at the Library to register and get your free magazine and passport.

How much does the Summer Reading Club cost?
The Summer Reading Club is absolutely free, thanks to financial support from the TD bank!

When does the Summer Reading Club take place?
The Junior Reading Club and Senior Reading Club each meet twice a week to play games, make crafts and read! You can also drop by on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings to the reporting station to report on your reading progress and collect stickers for your reading passport. These stickers contain secret codes that you can unlock on the TD Reading Club website: http://tdsummerreadingclub.ca/

You can also visit us on Thursday afternoons for All-Ages Fun and Games, as well as on Fridays to watch the movie of the week!

Be sure to check out our schedule for details and library website for a weekly list of what movies are playing.

If someone can't read yet, can they still join?
Yes! Preschoolers are welcome to join in the fun. Good listening counts and helps to develop literacy skills. Pre-readers can go to the reporting station to tell us about stories that have been read to them or they can earn stickers by participating in the preschool storytime programs that we'll be offering at the Library this summer. Check out our newsletter for the summer story-time schedule.

Are there activities I can participate in at the library as part of the club?
Yes! Kids ages 4-6 and 7-10 are welcome to come to the library and participate in sessions where we will be reading together, singing songs, making crafts, playing games and making friends! There will also be an all ages fun and games drop in time as well as movie matinees. Check out our schedule!
